My research area is social capital, which is based on networks of relationships, trust and cooperation between people and contributes to the more efficient use of resources in communities. Within this, I study civic activism, which refers to the voluntary participation of individuals and groups in social affairs, for example through participation in community organisations or movements. My aim is to understand how social capital and civic activity can enhance community well-being and social cohesion.
