Cultural learning refers to non-formal and informal learning events in a broad understanding of culture. The cultural education aspect of the topic examines the specificities of cultural learning in Hungarian cultural education institutions and services. Cultural learning provides an effective learning environment for lifelong and lifewide learning, it also gives an opportunity for the exploration and then reconversion of cultural and social capital within the cultural institutional framework.
The examination of the inclusive and equitable participation of disadvantaged and vulnerable groups is based on the assumption that inclusive participation in learning processes contributes to empowering members of society, mobilizing community resources, and reducing educational dropout rates. In the context of growing social inequalities, community-level responses can offer community development opportunities that strengthen individuals’ social participation.
