In the focus of my research activities, the emergence and development of secondary school teachers stands in Central Europa and Hungary between the 19th and the 20th century. I investigate the emergence of the professions by applying the critical approach of profession theories in my research activities. Therefore, I explored the history of those institutions that played a pivotal role in the formation of the profession of secondary school teachers, namely the Secondary School Teacher Training Institution, the Secondary School Teacher Examination Committee and the Baron Eötvös József Collegium.
