The neurocognitive background of speech and music processing

My research focuses on how the human brain processes speech and music. I study brain function using EEG and ERPs (event-related brain potentials) and fMRI. My research questions focus on how speech sounds, prosody and musical stimuli are represented in the brains, how these change in different developmental disorders (e.g., dyslexia) and how altered representation can be remediated by different intervention techniques (e.g., music training).
