Main research areas
Gambling research
Our research on gambling covers among other aspects, the motivations for gambling, the harms associated with gambling use, both for users and their close relatives, and the means of harm reduction and prevention. The focus of our research extends beyond traditional online and in-person gambling to include gambling-like activities (e.g. video game loot boxes) and new types of gambling (e.g. esports gambling).
