Main research areas
Research on chronic pain in children and adolescents in the light of a biopsychosocial approach
Biological, psychological, and social factors also play a role in the development of chronic pain and should be treated as a unit in the treatment and therapy of chronic pain. My research focuses on the study of related connections.
In the complex treatment of cancer patients, the mapping of psychosocial aspects that accompany the disease, and providing evidence-based psychological interventions for improving adjustment to cancer, play an increasingly important role. My research is part of a randomized, controlled, longitudinal, prospective study, entitled PSYCHOLOGICAL RESOURCES AND HEALING led by Éva Bányai. The research aims to measure the effect of hypnosis in case of intermediate- and high- risk breast cancer patients on psychological immunity, quality of life, posttraumatic growth, side effects of chemotherapy, immune functions and disease-free survival. The main focus of my research is the patients' coping mechanisms and their subjective experinece during chemotherapy and psychological intervetions
