Main research areas
Obesity has increased significantly throughout the world during the last three decades. My research project aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the psychometric properties of the Hungarian version of the Yale Food Addiction Scale 2.0 (H-YFAS 2.0), the complex relationships between BMI, executive functions, and food addiction, and the neural mechanisms underlying food addiction and eating disorders.
Additionally, my research will delve into cognitive deficits and their influence on eating behaviors in the context of addiction. Through objective measurement tasks and self-report impulsivity assessments, I will investigate inhibitory control, attentional bias, and disengagement. By elucidating the mechanisms of cognitive processes and their relationship with food addiction and eating behaviors, we aim to develop more effective treatment plans and interventions.
