My research focuses on human sexuality, with particular attention to the psychological processes associated with sexual trauma and behavioral addictions related to sexuality. In my work, I examine how traumatic life events, gender, sexual identity, and cultural context influence sociosexual competence and decision-making as well as sexual compulsivity and risk behavior.
