The inclusion of combat sports in curriculum documents depends largely on the attitudes of future physical education teachers toward this field. During teacher training, the effect of gender, sports background, and past experience can be particularly interesting in the learning and teaching of combat sports. In our research, we focus specifically on the background characteristics of the development of attitudes toward combat sports, the identification of potential problems, and the exploration of their interrelationships.
