ATTENTION!
Based on recent governmental decisions, those students can also participate in the graduation ceremony who do not have an immunity certificate.

The previous information regarding the graduation ceremony hosted by PPK are still valid with these additions:

  • you do not need to have an immunity certificate, it will not be checked upon entering the building.

Considering the information above, attending the ceremony is only possible for those who register for it in Neptun. We have changed the deadline of the registration to the 4th of July 2021, 11:59 p.m. You can find a new form to fill in Neptun with this deadline. In case you have already registered via the previous form and you would not like to change your data, you needn’t fill this new form again.

The following still has to be considered:

  • attending the ceremony is only possible for those who register in Neptun
  • it is not possible to invite relatives or other guests to the graduation ceremony
  • those who do not attend the ceremony will receive their certificate as an official document by post
  • information regarding the possible obligation to wear a mask during the ceremony will be available later – based on the then current regulations. Wearing a mask and a (white) pair of gloves (while taking the diploma) is strongely advised during the ceremony regardless.
For students in english language programmes, PPK makes receipt of the diploma possible without attending the graduation ceremony. Collecting the diploma is possible between 20 July 2021 and 29 July 2021 at KAZY 115, on weekdays between 9:00am and 3:00pm, by appointment. The student or their authorised proxy can collect the diploma. Authorisation can be submitted in Neptun in the Administration > Requests menu, by filling in the request form titled PPK authorisation for diploma receipt by proxy 2020/21/2 until 25th of July 2021, 11:59pm.

In the spring semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, the Faculty of Education and Psychology will hold a graduation ceremony with personal attendance. Only those graduate students may participate in the ceremony, who have an immunity certificate.

You may choose, in which way you would prefer to receive your diploma:
  • in person at the graduation ceremony, which requires a reqistration,
  • by post as an official document sent to the address of notification recorded in Neptun, or
  • in person, by appointment.

Location and date of the graduation ceremony

2:00 PM Tuesday, 27 July 2021
ELTE Faculty of Education and Psychology’s Main Hall (Budapest VII., Kazinczy u. 23–27.)

Participation in the graduation ceremony

Based on pre-registration those graduate students may participate in the ceremony, who

  • passed the final exam in the current spring semester of the 2020/2021 academic year in Budapest,
  • have an immunity (vaccination) certificate issued in Hungary or in the European Union (we will send a notification about the method of verification before the ceremony),
  • present their immunity certificate card at the time of entry, together with a photo ID (preferably the one with the serial number on the immunity certificate),
  • wear a mask during their stay in the building (the immunity certificate does not exempt from this).
ATTENTION! The conditions for participation in the graduation ceremony might change until the date of the event, particularly the rules on proof of vaccination and other regulations related to the epidemic situation. Information on possible changes in the conditions for participation in the graduation ceremony is provided here, on this website. It is recommended that those who are in Hungary but do not seem to be allowed to attend the event under the current rules also register for the graduation ceremony in Neptun now. This will enable them to receive their degree in person if there are changes in the rules of participation in the meantime.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to invite relatives or other guests to the graduation ceremony.

The ceremony will be broadcast online, so that the relatives and guests of our graduating students can follow the events. We will send a notification about the availability of the broadcast to students who request it during registration. The Privacy notice regarding the attendance at the ceremony and the recording will be found at the bottom of the page.

At the ceremony the diploma can only be received in person. For the graduates, who are unable to come to the graduation ceremony despite having a registration, we will send their diploma by post as described below.

Registration for the graduation ceremony

You may register for the graduation ceremony with a statement made in Neptun. The statement is available in Neptun under the Administration > Requests menu as PPK Application for the graduation_ceremony 2020/21/2. You may register until 11:59 PM on 30 June, 2021.

The statement is available in Neptun under the Administration > Requests menu as PPK Application for the graduation_ceremony 2020/21/2 (modified).

You may register until 11:59 PM on 4 July, 2021.

During the registration process, you have to make a separate statement about whether you want to participate in the graduation ceremony and / or want to have access to the broadcast of the graduation ceremony. Furthermore, you also need to make a statement regarding the acknowlegdement of the Privacy notice.

After the end of registration, we will send you an invitation to the graduation ceremony in a Neptun message, which will include further information. Anyone who does not disable this feature in Neptun will also receive the message in e-mail. ATTENTION! The registration itself does not entitle you to participate in the graduation ceremony, it is but one of the essential conditions.

Sending the diploma by post

In case you do not register in Neptun to attend the graduation ceremony in person, or if you are unable to do so despite your registration, your diploma will be mailed as an official document to your permanent address in Neptun or, if you have provided one, to your mailing address, which can be collected by the graduate personally or by someone, who has an authorization to do so. Please check your address and correct it if necessary in the My Data> Contacts menu.

Whatever form of receipt of the diploma you choose to take, you have the opportunity to ask for proof that your diploma is being issued in the period between the final exam and the receipt of your diploma. This certificate is valid for 30 days after the final examination and during this time replaces the diploma in its entirety (eg in the admission procedure).

You can find information about the final exam, the certificates required and other issues related to the issuance and handing over of the diploma on this website.
