The purpose of my research is to explore how children’s experiences within the home and school environments influence the development of their executive function skills, which encompass essential cognitive processes such as working memory, inhibitory control, and cognitive flexibility. By examining these contexts in detail, my studies aim to uncover specific practices, interactions, and environmental factors that support or impede the growth of these foundational abilities, which are critical for academic achievement, social competence, and long-term success.
