HERJ Volume 9 Issue 2 under the title “Dropout & persistence” is just arrived, which examines the phenomenon of drop-out, and contains studies from an international, primarily European perspective. Edited by Gabriella Pusztai and Jani Ursin the volume contains nineteen papers. Section I contains thematic articles about dropout patterns and influencing factors, mainly in the field of higher education. Articles in Section II (Research Papers) deal with foreign language learning and music lessons. Discussion papers (Section III) are examining environmental factors, especially learning environments from many aspects. Last, but not least Section IV contains four book reviews.
