ELTE PPK STI Exercise Physiology Laboratory

ELTE PPK STI Exercise Physiology Laboratory
At the ELTE PPK STI (located in Szombathely) Exercise Physiology Laboratory, founded in 2009, the Mészáros János Applied Exercise Physiology Research Group carries out its studies for educational and community service purposes.

The lab is primarily a practical training venue for students of the faculty, but its services can also be used by sports associations. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art measuring devices and instruments, which allow for the following measurements to be carried out: Stress tests on a treadmill and a kayak ergometer measure ECG, blood pressure and respiratory indicators, with spiroergometry to complement the analysis. Force plate tests are used to assess leg strength and balancing ability, and a spinal mouse is used to monitor the condition of the spine without radiation. The Polar Team Pro system supports training optimisation with heart rate monitoring and real-time software feedback.
