The Hungarian women's water polo team won a silver medal at the World Aquatics Championships in Hungary after losing 9-7 in a massive battle to the United States, the fourth winner in a row, and the first in the last three Olympics, in Saturday's final on Margaret Island.

After the match, Dóra Leimeter, an ELTE PPK sports manager student, said that they wanted to win, they were preparing to beat all, and she felt the team was capable of victory.
