Mark Molnár receives high neuroscience award
Professor emeritus of ELTE PPK received this year's Lissák Prize at the congress of the Hungarian Clinical Neurophysiology Society in Debrecen.

The aim of the Kálmán Lissák Prize is to recognise the activities of academics and researchers who have achieved an academic doctorate and who have carried out outstanding research work. The award was established in memory of Kálmán Lissák [1908-1982], professor of medicine, academic, rector, multiple dean of the Faculty of Medicine, who founded a school of neuroscience at the University of Medicine in Pécs. The award, which is a moral and financial recognition of scientific achievements, is traditionally presented to the winner at the annual congress of the Hungarian Clinical Neurophysiology Society.

Márk Molnár is a neurologist, psychophysiologist, professor emeritus of ELTE, doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. His main research area is the analysis of spontaneous and evoked brain electrical activity correlating with psychological processes in stroke and Alzheimer's patients, during aging, and when using psychoactive recreational drugs. In 2020, Márk Molnár was awarded the Officer's Cross (civilian section) of the Hungarian Order of Merit.
