Lodging complaints concerning grades at the end of the exam period
Dear Students,
The exam period of the autum semester of the academic year 2022/2023 ended on the 11th of February 2023. Please be informed that as the grades are recorded only in the electronic registry system (Neptun) and nowhere else, it is very important to check if they are properly entered. This checking must be done by the student. In case of non-entered grades, if the student haven't met the relevant requirements identified in the regulations (eg. exam-registration), or doesn’t take the opportunity of submitting a complaint, the grade becomes valid in the form it is recorded in Neptun. For example, if the grade is not recorded in Neptun, then – regardless of the student’s participation in the seminar or exam – they will not have a valid completion, which cannot be corrected at a later time.
According to the Section 65 (6) of the Academic Regulations for Students, students can complain concerning grades. In the spring semester of the academic year 2021/2022 this possibility is available
from 4 p.m. on 11 February until 5 p.m. on 18 February, 2023.
If the grade recorded in Neptun and the grade achieved with an exam do not match, or an exam’s grade does not appear in Neptun, please fill in and submit a request for complaint concerning grades available on the online interface for students, so that the issue can be investigated. Complaints about the achievements obtained during the exam-type request can be made with the request with the same name as the current request, available under the menu item Exams / Recorded exams. In the Exams/Taken exams menu, you have to select the exam in question, and click on the “+” symbol at the end of the line, then select the “Submit request” option and submit the request “Form of Complaint Concerning Grades”.
Grade complaints regarding grades of practical courses can be submitted:
Neptun > Admininstration > Requests > Form of Complaint Concerning Grades 2022/23/1
Please, also be informed that according to Section 425 (e) of the Special Provisions and Regulations pertaining to the Faculty of Education and Psychology of the Academic Regulations for Students, validating any performance completed against the rules cannot be done even as an equity from the Dean, so failing to complete the above mentioned process can have serious consequences.
The information above applies to doctoral students' research and teaching credits as well!
For PhD students, grade complaints regarding grades of practical courses and complaints regarding research and teaching credits can be submitted electronically in e-mail, to the ppkto-phd@ppk.elte.hu address, until 5 p.m. on 18 February, 2023.
