Lifespan Memory Development Lab

The lab examines the neurocognitive basis of changes in memory across the lifespan using complex behavioural and statistical methods, as well as state-of-the-art brain imaging techniques. Our research aims to understand the alterations that the memory of a healthy individual undergoes from early childhood to late adulthood, and the corresponding brain changes that precede, accompany, or potentially follow these. Our findings may ultimately contribute to the design of more effective childhood educational programs, as well as the development of interventions that mitigate or even reverse the impacts of memory changes influencing daily life during healthy and pathological aging.
