ELTE Baby Lab

ELTE Baby Lab
The ELTE Baby Lab, located on the 5th floor of the Izabella Street building of ELTE PPK, is affiliated to the MTA-ELTE Social Minds Research Group. The focus of its research is on understanding the mysteries of cognition, more specifically the functioning and drivers of social cognition and memory, as well as the development of thinking.

The researchers welcome infants and preschoolers in several lab rooms, where they use different methods to try to get answers their overarching questions. In one lab room, they use eye-tracking devices to map children’s viewing patterns, while in another they let children try out interesting, colourful, specially designed toys. In a third lab, a 128-channel EEG network is used to record children’s brain activity in different task situations.
