Background factors of civilisation disorders from the perspective of neuroscience, psychology, genetics: from diagnosis tp resolving the probles /from theory to practice

The most relevant problems of our age are those which can be seen as disorders of civilisation. These problems might jeopardise the quality of life and the productivity of people. These problems comprise physical and mental health, automated behaviour, decision taking skills, and in some cases even the information acquiring processes. Quite recently, a lot of approaches became known which aimed at revealing the background factors relevant in these disorders, however a truly complex approach has not yet emerged. This RD project, and especially the infrastructural investments which might contribute to the realisation of the research objectives, will focus on a complex, multidisciplinary approach in problem definition and in resolving them. The RD project will go beyond describing and explaining these disorders, but it will take efforts in developing appropriate interventions and related monitoring systems as well.
