Procedure of the entrance examination

The entrance exam contains a discussion about the motivation and programme-related academic background and professional experience of the applicant. Successful applicants must have a good command of English and pass the entrance exam. The entrance exam can be taken in person or via Skype.


You can obtain a maximum of 100 points for the MA in Human Resources Counselling Programme according to the following:

Entrance examination (maximum 80 points): based on the following criteria: being well-informed, familiar with literature, having good communicational skills, use of language for expressing yourself, professional devotion, competence, professional attitude in the field of human resources and its market. The Committee considers the applicant’s documentation of earlier scientific activities, professional experience abroad (e.g. via Erasmus programme), professional activities, publications, and the motivation letter plus curriculum vitae.

Based on Section 34 of Government decree 423/2012 (XII. 29.) on the admission to higher education institutions, the higher education institution regulates the admission requirements and the method of ranking in the case of a Master’s programme, but the applicant can be admitted only if he/she achieves at least 50% of the maximum points. According to ELTE’s Admission Regulations if an applicant receives 0 points in any of the requirements of the admission procedure listed below, they cannot be accepted to the programme.

Results and the official decision will be announced within a month after the entrance exam date, in the application system.
